The right environment for growing
I’m Emilia Olkowska, the Director and owner of Sherwood Green Nursery. I am a mother to three boys. In 2017 I was pregnant with my second child and was struggling to find childcare for my one year old that suited my required times and needs of childcare. As a parent myself and speaking to many other parents I fully understood the needs of parents and children and soon realised that there was a gap in high quality childcare that’s flexible, affordable and delivered with the highest of standards. During my second pregnancy, I and my husband found a building that was previously used as a GP surgery and we started our work on it immediately.
Within 5 months we opened our doors and by then I had given birth to my second son and enrolled both my kids into my nursery and started my early years journey as a director. My passion to childcare grew from strength to strength and I enrolled into courses where I then achieved my formal qualifications within childcare and management. I aimed to deliver the same level of childcare and love to all the children at Sherwood Green as I do to my own children.
In 2024, we proudly expanded our reach by opening another setting, further extending our exceptional childcare services to meet the growing needs of families in our community.

The passionate and dedicated nursery practitioners thrive on supporting each child to achieve their full potential whilst providing a holistic care, keeping your child at the centre of everything we do. The team actively encourage and promote the explorative and playful nature of the children to promote their development and spark a love of learning.
Our aim is to ensure that children depart from our care equipped with the necessary skills to communicate effectively and are ready for the next stage of their lives, all while being content and fulfilled.
